怎么樣理解a lifetime of experience

牛津9的lifetime詞條下有個短語，a lifetime of experience 畢生的經驗
這里的lifetime好像變成了量詞，像gallon，kilometer
但，別的詞典找不到類似的使用方法，所以想請教老師，lifetime如此用的道理是什么？
two days vacation;a two-day vacation都非常不錯理解，照a lifetime of experience如此，我可以寫two days of vacation嗎？
